The street art has returned to the city of Seinäjoki. Organized by the youth office, Graffiti’s, art workshops, hip-hop and rap performances cheered the afternoon of the last Friday, 25th of March, in the skate hall. Teenagers, children and their parents enjoyed the event and created together some art master pieces.

The first time this event was invigorated by the city was in the year of 2010. Marika Eromäki, from the organization of the Street’n’Beat and a worker of the Youth Office spoke to Kantti Magazine and explained that “the street art was something that was missing in the city during 2010”. Due to that, “it came the opportunity of organizing this event for the youth, but also children and their parents are always welcome”.

The Street’n’Beat event brought for the first time to the city the first legal place to draw graffiti’s. “The graffiti wall has been part of the event every year. “In 2010 we putted panels to the wall and that was the first legal place in the city”, add the youth worker.

The main goal of this event, that has now returned for its fourth edition, is “offering a relax event and some new experiences to people”, explains Marika Eromäki.

The participants, youngsters, children, parents and even exchange students enjoyed the Street’n’Beat sunny afternoon with Finnish rap and hip-hop performed by the EE’YO singers.
